Miles - Nobles Funeral Home announces the funeral services for Jack Edward McKinney Jr., age 66, who passed away Friday, April 3, 2015 at Candler Hospital in Savannah. He was a native of Chatham County living most of his life in Baxley; a United States Navy Veteran serving aboard the USS Enterprise and retired from Plant Hatch after 30 years of service. He was a loving husband, father and pepa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Edward and Hazel Wooten McKinney Sr.

Surviving is his wife of 38 years, Susan McKinney of Baxley; three daughters, Tana McKinney and Tim, Janey Dowdney and Andy and Evette McKinney and Dave; four grandchildren, Danni Brooker, Jessy Dowdney, Sydney Dowdney and Drew Dowdney and two great-grandchildren, Lyla and Jaxson Brooker.

Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 3 p.m. from the Omega Cemetery with the Reverend Lamar Lee officiating.

Interment will follow.

Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Andy Dowdney, Drew Dowdney, David Byrd, B.J. Brooker, David Matthews, Brice Matthews, Tim Dowling, Bruce Butler and Jeremy White.
