Henry Gibson

Miles-Nobles Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Henry R. Gibson age 85 of Jacksonville, Florida. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 28th, 2013. Formerly of Moultrie and Leesburg Georgia. He was devout Christian and a member of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Florida. He was a former member of Philma Road Baptist Church in Leesburg, Georgia. He was well liked by all who knew him. He was a US Navy veteran serving in the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his wife Elaine Gibson in 2006. He is survived by a sister, Clara, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.


Visitation will be Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Hardage-Giddens Edgewood Chapel followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Hardage-Giddens Edgewood Funeral 729 South Edgewood Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida 32205.

The interment with military honors will follow in Baxley, Georgia at the Ten Mile Road Baptist Church Cemetery, 3785 Ten Mile Road Baxley, Georgia.


Arrangements are under the care of Hardage-Giddens Edgewood Chapel.


Miles-Nobles Funeral Home will be in charge of local arrangements.
