Harold Beckworth

Nobles Funeral Home respectfully announces the passing of Mr. Harold Beckworth, age 86, who departed this life on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at the Pavilion under the compassionate care of Affinis Hospice. Mr. Beckworth was a cherished native and lifelong resident of Appling County. 

With over 30 years of dedication, Mr. Beckworth retired as a forklift operator from Baxley Veneer & Cleat. He was known for his unwavering love and commitment as a father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. 

He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Doc and Agnes Beckworth; his brother, James Beckworth; and a dear friend, Joyce Beecher.

 Mr. Beckworth leaves behind a loving family, including his son, Sam Beckworth (Betsy); two granddaughters, Tammie Norris (Michael) and Brianna Beckworth (Mac Adams); and five great-grandchildren, Rylee Beckworth, Isaac Norris, Jorden Crosby, Alli Adams, and Addi Adams. He is also survived by his brother, Hoyt Beckworth, along with numerous nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.

 A graveside service to honor his life will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. at Beckworth Swinson Cemetery, officiated by Reverend Doug Weisel and Randy Crawford. 

Active Pallbearers will include Sam Beckworth, Ricky Beckworth, Rusty Beckworth, Wendell Beckworth, Mac Adams, and Cody Burkett.

 In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Community Health Foundation, 1005 Boulder Dr., Gray, GA 31032, or through Make A Donation (affinishospice.org).
