Gerri M. Wiggins, a dedicated homemaker for her unwavering love and kindness, passed away on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024, at Appling Healthcare following a short illness. Born, March 24, 1941, Gerri's life was a testament to compassion and devotion to her Savior, Church and family. In addition to being a dedicated homemaker, Gerri was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Baxley and the Queen Esther Sunday School Class. For many years she chaired the Bereavement Committee providing unwavering support and meals for grieving church families.  Her hobbies and interests reflected her kind and nurturing spirit towards those around her. If you knew Ms. Gerri, you were assured of her deep and abiding faith in her Lord and Savior. She lived her life by two of her favorite scripture passages; Proverbs 3:5-6 and II Corinthians 13. 
 
Ms. Gerri is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Ira and Merle Baxley Moody. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew her.
 
Surviving Gerri are her two children, Robert Wiggins (Pam) and Keith Wiggins (Lana), who were the center of her world. Her pride and joy extended deep to her grandchildren: Trey Wiggins (Alex), Kyle Wiggins, Jeremy Wiggins (Katie), and Natalie Orvin (Jordan). Her great-grandchildren, Colt Wiggins, Crosby Wiggins, Case Wiggins, Sterlyn Orvin, Sage Orvin, and Lem Wiggins brought immense joy into her life.
 
Apart from her immediate family, Gerri is also survived by her siblings: Jenearl Carter, Sonny Moody (Sidney), and Janie Stone. Her nieces and nephews shared a special bond with Gerri that will be deeply missed.
 
The visitation for Mrs. Wiggins will take be held at Nobles Funeral Home in Baxley on April 2, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. 
 
The funeral service will be held at Baxley First Baptist Church on April 3, 2024, at 3:00 PM with Reverend Fred Anderson and Reverend Rick Brown officiating.
 
Interment will follow in the Omega Cemetery.
 
Active Pallbearers are Mark Barnes, Jeff Baxley, Daryl Edwards, Jordan Orvin, Jeremey Wiggins and Trey Wiggins.
 
Honorary Pallbearers are the Queen Esther Sunday School Class of the First Baptist Church of Baxley.
