George Lawton Callaway

Miles~Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the funeral services for George Lawton Callaway, Jr., age 58, who passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015. He was a native and lifelong resident of Appling County and a heavy equipment operator for the Appling County Road Department.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ethel Callaway, Sr. and two brothers, Cecil Callaway and Ted Callaway.

Survivors include a son, Bruce Callaway of Baxley; a daughter, Sonya Lynn Callaway of Kentucky; two grandchildren, Tyler Lawton Callaway and Destiny Marie Callaway; two brothers, Jimmy Callaway and Marvin Callaway both of Baxley; a sister, Patricia Lanier of Springfield, GA; several nieces, nephews and other family also survive.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 1, 2015 from 10-12pm at Miles Nobles Funeral Home Chapel.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
