Fannie Sue Crosby, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and, passed away on January 1, 2024, at her residence. Born on November 22, 1941, in Appling County, Georgia, Fannie Sue led a life deserving of celebration and remembrance.

Fannie Sue dedicated over two decades of her life serving as the Assistant Manager for the Lunchroom at Appling County High School. Her dedication to ensuring that students received nourishing meals and her warm smile brightened the lives of many. She took great pride in her service to others and left a lasting impact on the community she served.

A member of Harmony Baptist Church throughout her life, Fannie Sue found solace and strength in her faith. She embodied the principles of kindness, love, and compassion taught by her church community.

Outside of work and church commitments, Fannie Sue found joy in tending to her yard. She had a green thumb and took pleasure in cultivating a beautiful and serene outdoor space. Her garden was a testament to her love for nature and her ability to make things flourish.

One of Fannie Sue's greatest joys was cooking delicious meals for her loved ones. Her kitchen was always filled with mouth-watering aromas as she prepared hearty dishes to be shared among family and friends. Gathering around the table with loved ones brought her immense happiness.

Fannie Sue Crosby is survived by three loving children: David Crosby (Roxanne), Steve Crosby (Shari), Wayne Crosby (Wendy Moore). Her children were true blessings in her life and continued to make her proud with their accomplishments. Fannie Sue was also adored by four grandchildren: David Lawrence Crosby II (Amanda), Dylan Crosby (Maysi), Devyn Stokes (Dylan), and Kansas Crosby. Their presence brought immeasurable joy into Fannie's life. In addition to her grandchildren, Fannie Sue enjoyed the company of two great-grandchildren: Gracey Crosby (Damian Creech) and Grason Crosby, whose laughter and innocence always brought a smile to her face.

Fannie Sue is also survived by her three siblings, Jimmy Crapps, Jerry Crapps (Teresa), and Janice Crapps Cook. The bond they shared was unbreakable, and their support provided strength during both the happy and challenging times of Fannie Sue's life.

Surviving is also a cherished friend Melissa Bell.

Fannie Sue Crosby was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lawrence Crosby, who held a special place in her heart. Fannie Sue's parents, Robert James and Annie Loyce Collins Crapps, also preceded her in death. Their memories will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved them.

Friends and family are invited to attend the services honoring Fannie Sue's life. The visitation will take place at Nobles Funeral Home, located at 85 Anthony Street in Baxley, Georgia on January 4, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service will follow the visitation at the same location from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Fannie Sue will be laid to rest during an interment ceremony at Graham United Methodist Church Cemetery in Graham, Georgia on January 4, 2024.

Serving as active pallbearers are Dylan Crosby, Brad Rentz, Vic Crosby, Chris Crosby, Brad Taylor, and Chad Taylor.

Honorary Pallbearers are the faithful members of Harmony Baptist Church.

Fannie Sue Crosby will always be remembered for her unwavering faith, dedication to her work, nurturing nature, and deep love for her family. Her warm smile will forever remain etched in our hearts. May she rest in eternal peace knowing that she has left behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
