Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the death of Mrs. Ethel Blanche Carter Beckworth, age 83, who passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024, at her residence. Mrs. Ethel was a native and lifelong resident of Appling County, a forty-four-year retiree with Bailey Boys, and a member of Miles Chapel Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who found no greater joy than cooking and gathering around the table spending time with family and friends.

She is preceded in death by a son, Ricky Burkhalter, and several brothers and sisters.

Surviving is her husband of thirty-six years, Hoyt Beckworth; daughter, Kay Thomas (Jimmy); sons, Ricky Beckworth (Michelle), and Rusty Beckworth (Kim); a very special granddaughter, Kayla Morris (Ricky), other grandchildren, Matthew Thomas (Heather), Dylan Thomas, Richard Burkhalter, David Beckworth (Brittany), Jessie Davis (Markus), Matt Beecher, Blake Beecher (Cortney), Dakota Beckworth (Emily), and Brice Beckworth; great-grandchildren, Tate, Jace, and Ridge Morris, Isabella Thomas, Addison, and Braylon Thomas, Ivy and Ryker Beckworth, Lexi, Micah, and Macie Davis, Riley Beecher, Jameslee, Bailee, and Tynlee Beecher, Kinsleigh, Rayleigh, and Graceleigh Beckworth; sisters, Lucy Beckworth, and Elaine Dollar.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at 2 P.M. from the Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Doug Weisel, Reverend Stacy Bourguine, and Reverend Darron Jackson officiating.

Interment will follow in Beckworth Swinson Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Active Pallbearers are Jimmy Carter, Justin Carter, Stevie Tomberlin, Wendell Beckworth, Sam Beckworth, and Howard Scott.

Honorary Pallbearers are Roy and Elaine Bass, Charles and Ilene Stone, Albert and Cathy Herrington, Dale Overstreet, Members of Miles Chapel Baptist Church, Employees of Bailey Boys, Dr. Orlando Fernando and Staff, Appling Healthcare, Pulmonary and Physical Therapy Employees, The Staff of Stan’s Pharmacy, and all family and friends in attendance.
