Enoch Harrelson

Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the funeral service for Mr. Enoch Harrelson, age 89, who passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024, at his residence. Mr. Harrelson was a lifelong resident of Appling County, and a member of Friendship Congregational Church. He was an avid farmer and heavy equipment operator for the Georgia Department of Transportation for 25 years. Mr. Harrelson was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Enoch is survived by his wife of 71 years, Carol June P. Harrelson of Baxley. He is also survived by three daughters: Carol Charlotte Tucker (David), Nacy Kay Harrelson, and Joy Harrelson Tomberlin, all of Baxley. Additionally, Enoch leaves behind two grandchildren: Tohn Herrin (Cherae), Erica Hall (Doug), as well as six great-grandchildren: Jake Herrin (Kristin), Thomas Herrington, Jared Herrin, Emma Herrington, Katie Herrin, and Ebbin Herrington. A sister, Emma Jean Collins of Baxley and many nieces and nephews also survives him.

In the hearts of those who knew him well, Enoch will forever hold a cherished place filled with memories of love and laughter. His legacy as a devoted family man and hardworking individual will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to have been part of his life.

Enoch Harrelson was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Danielle Tomberlin-Hughes; his parents, Lonnie Henry and Samantha Wilds Harrelson; as well as three siblings: L.H. Harrelson, Louie Harrelson, and Willie Ruth Dees.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. from the Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Wayne Williamson and Reverend Pete Aycock officiating.

Interment will follow in the Friendship Congregational Church Cemetery. 

A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at Nobles Funeral Home Chapel.

Serving as active pallbearers are Tohn Herrin, Jake Herrin, Clint Herrington, Thomas Herrington, Jared Herrin, and Ebbin Herrington.

Honorary Pallbearers are all friends in attendance.
