Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the services for Mrs. Emojean Sellers Cooper, age 94, fondly known as Miss Jean, who passed into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on August 13, 2017 to join together with those who preceded her in death, her husband, Charles Fred Cooper, daughter Earline Francis, Sons, Earnest Vance (Mose), Roger James (Jake), Philip Stephen and her grandson Michael D. Harrison.
Mrs. Cooper was a life-long resident of Appling County except for two years spent in South Carolina. She loved and was faithful to Harmony Baptist Church and Surrency Baptist Church while a member. She was a nurse for many years at Appling General Hospital. She loved writing letters to loved ones and friends until her death.
She is survived by her children, Clark Fayne Cooper (Nancy), Scott W. Cooper(Beverly), Emily Cooper Harrison ( Gary, deceased), Frederick Oliver Cooper ( Shari), grand- children, Master Sgt. Derek Cooper (USMC), Leigh Cooper, Robin Harrison Axelberd, David Harrison, Stephen Harrison, Kathryn Harrison, Rebecca Harrison Forest, Taylor Cooper, Rachel Cooper and Alex Cooper and many great grand-children.
There will be a Memorial Service at Harmony Baptist Church on Saturday, August 19th, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the morning with Brother Sam Holland officiating.
The members of Harmony Baptist Church will be honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to the Harmony Baptist Church Building Fund.
Mrs. Cooper will be interred at Ten Mile Baptist Church alongside her husband and children at a later date.
