Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the funeral service for Ms. Emma Lee Crosby Deloach, age 82, who passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at her residence. Ms. Emma Lee was born September 23, 1938 in Appling County to the late John Henry “Sonny Boy” Crosby and the late Minnie Lee Shipes Crosby. She was a founding member of the Hwy. 144 Fire Department, a forty-nine-year poultry farmer with Claxton Poultry, a storekeeper, and a member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church.

 

In addition to her parents, Ms. Deloach is preceded in death by her husband, Benny Deloach; four sisters, Bertha Aldrige, Jennett Crawford, Dorothy Carter, and Betty Osteen; and five brothers, Ernest Crosby, J.B. Crosby, Jackrel Crosby, Robert Crosby, and Albert Crosby.

 

She is survived by her children, Benjie Deloach (Elaine) of Sylvester, Karen Collins (Dean) and Linton Deloach (Brandy) both of Baxley; seven grandchildren, Mandy Davis (Trent), Heather Bowen (Carson), Renee Deloach, Laken Deloach, Lacey Deloach, LeeAnne Ewaldsen (John Paul), and Micah Collins; eight great grandchildren, Sawyer Davis, Summer Davis, Cayden Bowen, Cassidy Bowen, Ansley Bartley, Bo Bartley, Collin Ewaldsen and Emie Ewaldsen; one sister, Willene Crosby and numerous other family member also survive.

 

The funeral service will be held Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. from the Zion Missionary Baptist Church with the Reverend James Minick and the Reverend David Barber officiating.

 

Interment will follow in the Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Zion Missionary Baptist Church.

 

Active Pallbearers are Norman Murray, Richard Riddle, Randy Roberson, Adam Osteen, Zand Murphy, and Kenny Wright.

 

Honorary Pallbearers are Member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Tim and Dawn Haynes, Cindy Harmon, Terri Peck, Comfort Care Hospice, and the Appling County Sherriff’s Department.

 

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Gideons International at gideons.org.
