Elzie Larry Mosley, Sr

Miles~Nobles Funeral Home announces the funeral services for Elzie Larry Mosley, Sr., age 69, who passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah. He was a lifelong resident of Appling County. He was a retired truck driver of 43 years and the owner of Elm Tree service. Mr. Mosley was a United States Army Veteran, a member of Riverside Baptist Church and a devoted father, stepfather and husband.

He was preceded in death by his two sons, Elzie Larry Mosley, Jr. and Mack Mosley; parents, James C. Mosley and Bertie Manning Mosley; three sisters, Alean Stanley, Bertie Lester and Litherine Greer; one brother, Arthur Rayce Potter.

Survivors include his wife, Vivian F. Mosley of Baxley; one daughter, Nicki Mosley of Eastman; two stepdaughters, Dianne Fortner of Hazlehurst and Valeria Brown and husband Randy of Baxley; three stepsons, Mickey Floyd and wife Jeanna of Baxley, Chris Floyd and wife Mandy of Baxley and K.K. Faglier and wife Lorelei of Miliken, CO; eight grandchildren, Meghan Heath, Marleigh Heath, Brock Heath, Bryson Heath, Trey Mosley, Tye Reese, Trevor Floyd and Levi Fortner; two great grandchildren, Raegan Fuller and Aydden Mosley; one sister, Lutricia Hudson and husband Ted of Jackson, GA; two brothers, Ledaril Mosley of Baxley and Joe Dennis Mosley of Gordon, GA; several nieces, nephews and other family also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 2pm at Riverside Baptist Church with the Reverend Justin McClellan officiating.

Mr. Mosley will lie in state one hour prior to funeral services on Tuesday.

Interment will follow in the Riverside Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 9, 2015 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.

Active pallbearers will be Chad Pasnen, Shane Youmans, Benjie Higgins, Shane Jones, Andrew Mosley, Trey Mosley and Jamie Gardner.

Honorary pallbearers will be Floyd Hunter, Bill Hunter, Billy Carter, J.W. Murray, Jerome Murray, Dane Hallman, John Reynolds, Vernon DeLoach and John Hardwick.
