Edith Britt

Miles~Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the services for Edith Kennedy Britt, age 89, who passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Riverview Health and Rehab in Savannah.  She was a lifelong resident of Appling County; a homemaker and a member of Dunn Memorial Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Clinton Britt; parents, Jim H. and Janice Mauldin Kennedy and a granddaughter, Miranda McRae.

Survivors include three daughters, Alethia Zadach and husband Jeff of Savannah, Anita Thrower of Missoula, Montana and Annette Douglas and husband Tony of Baxley; three sons, Benny Britt and wife Mary of Monroe, Danny Britt of Baxley and Larry Britt and wife Janie of Baxley; eight grandchildren, Lorie Lewis, Malissa McRae, Matthew McRae, Jennifer Douglas, Amber Myers, Hattie Britt, Angela Britt and Scott Britt; nine great grandchildren, Cal Herrington, Drew Dowling, Rainy McRae, Tyti Carter, Alice Myers, Emma Myers, Jake Britt and Emma Britt; and other family also survive.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Dunn Memorial Baptist Church at 11am with the Reverend Rick Brown officiating.

Interment will follow in the Omega Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to funeral services at the church.

Active Pallbearers will be Lynn Lewis, Drew Dowling, Justin Myers and Tony Herrington.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the Magnolia Wing staff of Riverview Health and Rehab and Hospice Savannah.

The family will be gathering at the home of Mrs. Britt at 24 John Lewis Lane.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Riverview Health and Rehab Affiliates at 6711 La Roche Ave, Savannah, GA 31406.

The family would like to say a very special thank you to the Magnolia Wing staff of Riverview Health and Rehab and Hospice Savannah staff for the loving care provided to Mrs. Britt over the past year.
