Miles~Nobles Funeral Home announces the death of Dorothy "Dot" Eason Kimberly, 77, who passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014 at her residence under the care of Hospice of South Georgia. She was a native and lifelong resident of Appling County and a member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Irwin C. Kimberly; a son, Derwin K. Kimberly and her parents, Emil and Cleta Mae Eason.
Survivors include two sons, Mitchell Kimberly and wife Darlene of Surrency and D.J. Kimberly and wife Megan of Surrency; two granddaughters, Chesney Kimberly and Kristian Kimberly; two step granddaughters, Erika Tharp and Racheal Tharp; one brother, James Eason and wife Laverne of Surrency; one sister, Genevieve Murray of Surrency, several brothers in-law, sisters in-law and other family also survive.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2014 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 11 am at Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
Interment will follow in Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Stephen Carter, Dustin Johnson, Will Perry, H.D. Kimberly, Gary Cowines and Jeffery Murray.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Adult Ladies Sunday School Class at Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
