Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the death of Mrs. Doris M. Moody, age 79, who passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022, at her residence. Mrs. Moody was a native of Bacon County living in Appling County the past twenty-two years. She was a homemaker, great wife and a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Preceding her in death were her parents, H.R. and Minnie Lee Turner.
Surviving is her husband of forty-nine years, Harry Moody of Baxley; daughters, Dawn and Jimmy Watkins of Hazlehurst and Donna and Ed Mills of Missouri; grandchildren, Kyle and Mandi Krafczyk, Kailee Krafczyk, Keith Krafczyk and Kylie Krafczyk; great grandchildren, Lake Krafczyk, Lyle Krafczyk, Asher Krafczyk and Kase Krafczyk; sister, Frances Bullard of Jacksonville, FL.
A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at 2 P.M. from the Asbury Church Cemetery with Reverend Bryan Gill, Reverend William Gardner and Reverend Rick Brown officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the Asbury Church Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers will be Wendell Carter, Ruby Junior Carter, Henry Branch, Allen Stalvey, Danny Sharpe and Bo Moody.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of Spring Branch Baptist Church.
