Miles~Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the funeral services for Doris Annell Davis Bryant, age 85, who entered into eternal rest at her home on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 after a lengthy illness. She was born in Appling County on October 18, 1930 to the late Jehu R. "J.R." and Edna E. Stone Davis.

Mrs. Bryant was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy and was a devoted wife, beloved mother and grandmother. She was a foster parent for over twenty years fostering over eighty children and also ran a daycare in her home.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, D.C. Bryant; one daughter, Cindy Floyd and two brothers, William M. "Buddy" Davis and James Randolph "Randy" Davis and a step-mother Hazel B. Davis.

Survivors include her children, Debbie and husband Bill McGuire of Baxley, William "Billy" Bryant of Wisconsin, David Bryant of Baxley and Amy and husband Eddie Hunter of Baxley, Debbie and husband Mike Spivey of Alma and Keith Cadwell of Fitzgerald; two brothers, George W. "G.W." Davis of California and David Rickey Davis of Baxley; grandchildren, Brandy Medders, Candice Osterhous, Tiffany Osterhous, Dustin and wife Danielle McGuire, Justin and wife Kayla Spivey, Ashley and husband Rusty Bracewell, Branden Bryant, Kayla Hunter, Edsel Hunter, Jason Bryant, Amber Bryant, Kenny Bridges and April Bridges; thirteen great-grandchildren and other family members also survive.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 23, 2015 at 3 p.m. at the Church of God of Prophecy with Dr. Jerry W. Nash and Reverend Phillip Lawson officiating. A eulogy and prayer will be given by her granddaughter Kayla Hunter.

Interment will follow in the Zoar Cemetery.

Visitation will be held two hours prior to services at the church.

Active pallbearers will be Edsel Hunter, Brandon Bryant, Dustin McGuire, Justin Spivey, Kenny Bridges and Scott Sumner.

Honorary pallbearers will be Community Homecare, Community Hospice and all friends of the family.
