Miles~Nobles Funeral Home announces the death of Donnie Lee "Fat Boy" Adkins, 39, who passed away Thursday, November 14, 2013 at St. Joseph's Candler Hospital after a long illness. He was a native of Appling County. He was a retired welder; a Baptist by faith and an avid biker. Donnie always brought joy to everyone and brought a smile to everyone's face.
Survivors include his fiancAC., Briana Turchi of Baxley; seven children, Aaron Partin, Dakota Adkins, Camden Adkins, Meagan Adkins, Marissa Turchi, Anthony Estrada and Blake Adkins; mother, Lucille Adkins of Baxley; a brother, Roy Adkins of Baxley; three sisters, Tammy Salisbury of Florence, SC, Kathy "Cadillac" Dixon of Baxley and Patricia "Sunshine" Moore and husband Lonnie of Baxley; nine nieces and nephews, Amy Adkins, Teresa Adkins, Danielle Youngblood, Jeremy Rogers, Greg Dixon, Vanessa Adkins, Keyona Moore, Alyssa Moore and Myeisha Moore and lots of friends also survive.
Visitation will be held Sunday, November 17, 2013 from 4-6pm at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 18, 2013 at 3pm at Miles~Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Rick Brown officiating.
Interment will follow at Red Oak Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Lonnie Moore, Robert Turchi Sr., Shelley Whitty, Buddy Hewitt, Robert Wiggins Sr., Jerry Wayne Smith, Jeremy Rogers, Greg Dixon and Calvin Brandon.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy Rogers and Greg Dixon.
