Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the memorial service for Ms. Deloris Miles, age 82, who passed away on Monday, October 5, 2020 under the care of Comfort Care Hospice. Ms. Miles was a native of Bacon County, and a longtime resident of Appling County. She was a retired postal worker with the U.S.P.S.
Ms. Miles was preceded in death by her husband, Elton Miles; a son, Bryan Keith Miles; one daughter, Melanie Denise Miles; her parents, Simeon Lamar and Fannie Rebecca Smith and a sister, Martha Goodson.
Surviving are her three daughters, Debra Lynn(Freddy) Butler of Baxley, Angela(Carl) Waddell of Aiken, SC and Toni Tomberlin of Baxley, one son; Patrick(Angela) Miles of Baxley, eight grandchildren; Michelle Crapps, Allison Williams, Jared Crapps, Heather(Dustin) Griffin, Blake(Katie) Tomberlin, Weston Tomberlin, Cody(Lana) Burkett, and Hannah Miles, 5 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three brothers; Gary(Nancy) Smith of Alma, Tim(Patty) Smith of Eastman, and Tom(Tammy) Smith of Alma, five sisters; Donnette Beck of Jacksonville, FL, Jo Ann Smith of Baxley, Janice Fulton of Tyrone, Pat Magdziuk of Ft. Collins, CO and Marlene(Walt) Edgerly of Aurora, CO; brother in law, Jim Goodson and significant other, Roger Vaughn of Baxley.
A private family memorial service will be held Friday, October 9, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at the Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Jerry Lightsey officiating with a eulogy by Marlene Edgerly.
