Dean Gibbs

Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the death of Mr. Dean Gibbs, age 66, who passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin after a long illness. Mr. Gibbs was a native of Appling County, a retired truck driver, and a US Army veteran. He was an avid fisherman, and a loving, and caring husband.

Mr. Gibbs is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Willie Azalee Westberry Gibbs; and fourteen siblings, Betty Ann Gibbs, Delane Powell, Helen Gibbs, Lonnie Gibbs, Jerry Sanders, Larry Gibbs, Harry Sanders, Tommy Sanders, Albert Sanders, J.T. Gibbs, Donald Gibbs, Edward Gibbs, George W. Gibbs, and Marvin Gibbs.

Surviving is his wife, Bettijo Gibbs; two stepsons, Lee Gibson and Calvin Gibson; and seven siblings, Jimmy Gibbs (Jo), Calvin Gibbs, Richard Sanders, Emmett Gibbs (Patia), Ernest Gibbs, Joan Higgins (Harry), and Freda Deveraux (Joe).

A memorial service will be held at a later date in the Surrency City Cemetery.
