Charles Griffin

Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the funeral service for Mr. Charles Griffin, age 81, who passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at his residence. Mr. Griffin was a native and lifelong resident of Appling County and a man of God. He loved his grandchildren and watching Nascar while cheering on his favorite driver Jeff Gordon.  Mr. Griffin loved to garden and share it with his friends and neighbors.

Mr. Griffin is preceded in death by the love of his life, Shirley Corley Griffin; a daughter, Darlene Griffin; a great granddaughter, Kimmie Stephens; and four siblings, Grady William Griffin, Wilbur Griffin, J.W. Griffin, and Myrtle Ruth Nail.

Surviving are his two children, Sonja Stephens (Terry) and Donnie Griffin (Brenda); numerous grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; and Keith Stephens who he loved like his own also survive.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. from the Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with Revered Rick Brown officiating.

Interment will follow in Omega Cemetery.

The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.

Active Pallbearers are Jason Griffin, Kenny Griffin, Durwin Griffin, Kirk Griffin, Russell Griffin, and Keith Stephens.

Honorary Pallbearers are all in attendance.
