Cecil Morris

Miles – Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the services of Cecil Morris, age 78, who passed away Friday, June 17, 2016 at Appling Healthcare Systems under the care of Comfort Care Hospice. He was a native and lifelong resident of Appling County; a retired truck driver; a United States Marine Corps Veteran serving in the Korean War and a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church and the Encouragers Sunday School Class.

Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his parents, C.E. and Ellie Holland Morris.

Surviving is a son, Benjamin C. Morris of Mershon; granddaughter, Savannah C. Morris of Baxley; two sisters, Susan Paul of Green Cove Springs, FL and Ann Crouch of Palatka, FL; special nephew, Jeff Morris of Macclenny, FL and numerous nieces, nephews and other family also survive.

Graveside memorial services with military honors will be held Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 4 p.m. at Memorial Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Darrell Quinn officiating.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the Encouragers Sunday School Class of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church and the Comfort Care Hospice Staff.
