Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the funeral service for Ms. Carrie Lee Hedberg Passailaigue, age 47, who passed away Friday, October 1, 2021, at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. Ms. Passailaigue was born in Illinois and was a lifetime resident of Appling County. She was a member of the ACHS class of 1991, obtained her bachelor’s in nursing from South University in Savannah, and was working on her master’s degree in Family Nurse Practitioner. She was the Nursing Shift Administrator for Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup. She was loved and will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and community. She supported many through her generous and caring nature in the field of nursing and beyond. She had a vivacious spirit that will live on in all that knew her.


Ms. Passailaigue is preceded in death by her husband, Alex Passailaigue; and a sister in law, Dana Clements.

Surviving are her children, Alex Passailaigue (Kayla) of Baxley and Andrew Passailaigue of Baxley; her mother, Cynthia Holcombe (William) of Orange Park, FL; her father, John Hedberg (Darlene) of Wheatfield, IN; five siblings, James Hedberg of New Lenox, IL, Suzanne McCrary of Muskegon, MI, Cassandra Hower of Baxley, Anna Murphy (Kevin) of East Troy, WI, and Cindy Hunter of Oak Lawn, IL; and a niece, Alyse Deen of Baxley also survive.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at 1:00 P.M. at the Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Randy and Agnes Sellers officiating.

Interment will follow in the Midway Baptist Church Cemetery.

A visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at the Nobles Funeral Home Chapel for all friends and family.

Active Pallbearers are Dustin Bass, Dane Clements, Carter Cauley, Ed Hart, Wayne Butler, Corbett Bowen.

Honorary Pallbearers are Wayne Memorial staff, Appling Health Care staff, and Meadows Regional staff.
