Betty June Harrelson Bullard passed away Friday, July 19, 2024, at her home in Baxley, Georgia under the care of Coastal Hospice of Hazlehurst. Born July 13, 1938, she was 86 years old.
June spent her life as a dedicated farmer's wife and a loving homemaker. In her pastime, she loved to teach others how to cook her classic southern recipes, attend the sings at the Hunter Opry House, and watch countless reruns on the Game Show Network. Having a heart of service and a great love for her husband, children, and family, June committed to her roles and never failed to fulfill them with love, tenderness, and compassion.
She is preceded in death by her son, Ronald "Chad" Bullard, her father and mother, Thomas J. Harrelson and Frankie Gardner Harrelson, her sisters, Ingoll "Faye" Sumner, Matilda "Tillie" Deen, and her brother Donald J. Harrelson all from Baxley.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ronald O. Bullard, her son Jeffery (Sherri) Bullard, and daughter-in-law Teresa (Chad) Bullard. Six grandchildren, Marrisa (Brandon) Yawn, Brennan (Sarah) Bullard, Amber (James "Jimbo") Robinson, JonMorgan Bullard, Ronald "CJ" (Amber) Bullard all of Baxley and Spencer James Bullard of Athens, Ga. She also leaves behind three brothers, Wendell (Laura) Harrelson of Hazlehurst, Weldon Harrelson and Paul Harrelson of Baxley, great grandchildren and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service honoring the life of Mrs. Bullard will be held Monday, July 22, 2024, at 3 P.M. from Midway Baptist Church with Reverend Benji McReady and Reverend Marty Anderson officiating.
Interment will follow in Midway Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at Midway Baptist Church.
Serving as Active Pallbearers are CJ Bullard, Brennan Bullard, JonMorgan Bullard, Spencer Bullard, James Robinson and Brandon Yawn.
Honorary Pallbearers are the church family of Midway Baptist Church and Ron and Martina Ingram.
Musical selections will be by Glen and Sherry Beach.
