Ashley Newsome

Miles~Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the services for Ashley Nicole Newsome, age 28, who passed away Friday March 4, 2016 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  She was a native and lifelong resident of Appling County; a 2006 graduate of Appling County High School and a member of the Lady Pirates Softball Team.  She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and a loving daughter, sister and aunt.  Ashley had a happy, friendly disposition. She had a gentle, loving manner and a ready smile that she shared with everyone, wherever she went. She was kind and generous. This is how she will lovingly be remembered by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Earl and Kathleen Newsome and maternal grandmother, Connie Mincey.

Survivors include her parents, Randy and Donna Mincey Newsome of Baxley; three sisters, Tiffany Black and husband Benji of Mt. Vernon, Brandy Lightsey of Baxley and Miranda Hilliard and husband Ben of Glennville; fiancé, Sammy Norris of Baxley; two stepchildren, Kelcie Norris and Kyra Norris; grandfather, Carlton Mincey of Baxley; two nephews, Brantley Black and Bryson Mickens and several other family members also survive.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 7, 2016 at 11am at Asbury United Methodist Church with the Reverend Mark Bordeaux, Ronnie Lewis and Tommy Newsome officiating.

Interment will follow in the in the Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Sunday, March 6, 2016 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.

Active Pallbearers will be Josh Lewis, Brian Britt, Benji Black, Ben Hilliard, Trey Mincey and Matt Hodges. 

Honorary Pallbearers will be the 2006 class of Appling County High and the Appling County Lady Pirates Softball Team.
