Amelia Ann Carter

Miles~Nobles Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Amelia Ann Carter, age 81, who passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Appling Healthcare Systems under the care of Southern Care Hospice. She was a native of Charlotte, NC living the past 30 years in Baxley and retired from McDaniel Vending Service in Jesup after 30 years of service.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Carter; grandson, Travis Carter; sister, Audrey Ash and a brother, Perry Darby.


Surviving are two daughters, Linda Ann Carter of Baxley and Donna Mae Carter of Jacksonville FL; one son, Perry and wife Raedell Carter of Baxley; five grandchildren, Jean Justice, Nicole Carter, Wesley Sheppard, Tracy Carter and Kevin Sheppard; four great-grandchildren, Will, Nicholas, Logan and Cadence and other family also survive.


A private family memorial service honoring the lives of Eddie and Ann Carter will be held at Omega Cemetery.
