Alvin Hughes

Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the graveside service for Mr. Alvin Clark Hughes, age 70, who passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023. Mr. Hughes was a native of Appling County, living 19 years in Tifton before returning to Appling County. He was a former equipment operator with the State Highway Department.

Mr. Hughes is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond M. and Nora Clark Hughes; and five siblings, Linda Gail Hughes, Sarah Hughes, Tammy Jo Bullard, Willie Hughes, and Columbus Michael Hughes.

Surviving are his two sons, Michael Hughes and Matt Hughes both of Tifton; three grandchildren; one brother, Joe Bullard (Deanna) of Bristol; six sisters, Aline Leggett (Donnie Cox) of Patterson, Faye McCollum of Alma, Gloria Charette of Hazlehurst, Diane Boatright of Mershon, Mildred Mixon of Homerville, and Betty Colamaio (Dan) of California; and several nieces and nephews.

The graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at Mershon Cemetery with Reverend Mitch Hall officiating.

Active Pallbearers are family and friends.
