Alma Sumner

Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the funeral service for Ms. Alma Gaskins Sumner, age 92, who passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her family.

Ms. Sumner is preceded in death by her husband, Obra Sumner; a son, Donald “Donnie” Sumner; and her parents, Noah and Maudell Harnedge Gaskins.

Surviving are her two children, Ronnie Sumner (Phylliss) of Hortense and Hilda Sumner Burgess of Brunswick; nine grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, and eleven great great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at 3:00 P.M. at Woodlawn Memorial Garden in Adel, Ga with Reverend Ashley Way.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. from Nobles Funeral Home Chapel.

Active Pallbearers are Ryan Sumner, Dan Burgess, Mark Burgess, Dwayne Burgess, Travis Van Houten, and Mark Thomas Burgess.
