Alice Nasworthy

Miles - Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the death of Alice Alldredge Nasworthy, age 77, who passed away Saturday, November 14, 2015 at her residence under the care of Southern Care Hospice. She was a native of Roanoke, Virginia, graduating from Jefferson High School in 1958. Mrs. Nasworthy was a former resident of Ludowici living the past ten years in Baxley; a retired sales associate with K-Mart in Hinesville; a member of Beards Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Glennville and faithfully attended Spring Branch Baptist Church in Baxley.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William D. Alldredge; parents, Jesse Vernon and Eva Jane Smith; two brothers, Cecil and Graydon Smith and a sister, Geraldine Spangler.

Surviving is one son, Vernon Alldredge of Baxley; grandson, Jesse Alldredge of Baxley; brother-in-law, Ray Spangler of Shawsville, VA; special nephew, Ben and wife T.J. Spangler of Floyd, VA; special cousins, Kim and Jerry Bowyer, Judy and Randall Mitchell both of Christiansburg, VA and Ferraba Proffitt of Greensville, VA; special friends, Lois Handy of Amsterdam, NY and Cindy Causey of Baxley; other family members also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 2 p.m. from the Spring Branch Baptist Church with the Reverends Bryan Gill, Rick Brown and Doug Weisel officiating.

Interment will follow in the Carter Cemetery.

Mrs. Nasworthy will lie in state one hour prior to services on Tuesday.

Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Active Pallbearers will be Jerry Bowyer, Victor Attica, Jake Anderson, Dale Massey, Gene Nasworthy and Vick Brantley.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the staff of Altamaha Home Health Care, Southern Care Hospice, Dr. Errol Graham, Dr. Janie Britt, security officers and employees of Claxton Poultry, Minnie Lee Davis, Betty Livingston, Henry Branch, Wendell Carter, Amber Gill, John Branch, Wink Branch, Cecil and Karen Griffin, Tim and Sandy Griffin, Charles and Debbie Branch, Pat and Lillian Patterson, T.C. and Sue Rogers, Johnny and Carla James, Jeanette Massey, Zora Olds, Kay Williamson and Jenearl Carter.

Active and Honorary Pallbearers should be at the church by 1:30 on Tuesday.
