Aaron E. "Sam" Rentz

Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the funeral service for Mr. Aaron E. “Sam” Rentz Jr. age 88, who passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Hospice of the Golden Isle in Brunswick. Mr. Rentz is a native of Appling County and a lifelong resident of Glynn County & Brantley County.

Mr. Rentz is preceded in death by a son, Dewayne Rentz and his parents, Aaron and Birtie Hutto Rentz Sr.

Surviving are his four children, John Rentz (Wanda) of Waycross, Richard Rentz (Lori) of Brunswick, Stephen Rentz of McDonough, and Kathy Padgett (Chuck) of Brunswick; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and three sisters, Merlene Hall of Brunswick, Kathleen Rentz Carter of McDonough, and Quillan “Penny” Garnett of McDonough also survive.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. from the Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend John Rentz officiating.

Interment will follow in the Memorial Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at Nobles Funeral Home.

Active Pallbearers are Aaron Rentz, Brad Rentz, Chris Rentz, Lane Rentz, Charlie Padgett, and J.B. Strickland.

Honorary Pallbearers are Mr. Rentz’s grandsons and great grandsons.
