Beverly Robertson

Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announce the funeral service for Ms. Beverly Robertson, age 61, who passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021, at Wayne Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Through it all she never became bitter or lost who she was showing laughter and joy all the way until the Lord called her home. Mrs. Robertson was a native Texan who worked over two decades for BNSF Railroad moved all over the country settling in Surrency, Ga with her husband to be close to her sister Diana Roush. Although Beverly worked at BNSF Railroad for over two decades, the titles she held most dear in life were: Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, and Grandmother. All these titles centered around one word FAMILY. You see, family was the most important thing to Beverly. She was the glue that held them all together. She always spoke with sweetness and kindness, not because she was trying to, but that was just the person she was meant to be. As 911 was called and the activity around, she managed to send a two-word text to her husband and as we followed the ambulance and became within cell phone range it appeared, her last two words "Love You" her voice rang out loud and clear. She still held her loved one's close thinking only of them. Then she left her broken body with such Amazing Grace. She is preceded in death by parents, Ward and Winona Waldrop; two brothers, Carl Waldrop, and Adrian Waldrop; and a sister Lula Lee Waldrop. Surviving is her husband of thirty-eight years, Benjamin "Doug" Robertson of Surrency; two children, Benjamin Daniel Robertson (Elizabeth) of Blue Springs, MO, and Amanda Robertson (Shelby Perry) of Omaha, NE; five grandchildren, Benjamin (10), Lily (8), Conner (6), Anna (3), and Warren Robertson (3 weeks) all Blue Springs, MO; one sister, Diana Roush, and Jesse Lightsey of Surrency also survive. The graveside service will be held Thursday, September 23, 2021, at 1:00 P.M. at Big Creek Church Cemetery with eulogies given by the family. In lieu of flowers to honor Beverly, take some time and gather those you love around a board game, make that cake with your child, or pull-out old family photos and love, laugh, and cry because no matter if its 20 or 100 years, life is short.
